Description
of globular form, painted in blue, orange, yellow, green, purple brown, and white, round the body is a continuous landscape with buildings, turrets, estuary, fences and a figure on a promontory, within a large distinctive strapwork cartouche giving the illusion of curving with the inscription within, a roundel above framed by a wreath with fruit and a three quarter profile male head, the inscription on the large label PESTAEN (Pestem), incised mark on the base probably reading as 'AS'
