in brown lustre glaze, the central boss painted with a stylised horse head within bands of hatched ovals, dots, whorls, and flower heads, the border with raised gadrooning with alternating panels of solid lustre and infilled flowerheads, dots and whorls, with a pierced hanging hole; the reverse with encircling bands
