"A portion of a large subject which belongs to a very fine set of Old Testament scenes in the Imperial Collection at Vienna. The whole subject represents the jews negotiating with Solomon. The original set was woven at Brusseles [sic] in the 16th century; this piece is later, possibly 17th century, as the designs went on for some time"
