This ampohora was a gift from Roberto Proietti, European lightweight boxing champion of the 1940s, to Sandy Nardini, founder of the famous Nardini Ice Cream business in Largs. It was a housewarming present on the completion of Nardini's Tuscany villa in the 1950s.
