the twin train movement with anchor escapement striking the hours on a bell, the pagoda top with three giltwood spire finials above a silvered dial (associated) with engraved foliate spandrels and strike/silent lever to the arch, the centre with subsidiary seconds and calendar dials, signed David Rogers, Saffron Walden, the arched trunk door with moulded edge, the plain apron on scalloped cut plinth base (note: the original brass dial has been mounted for posterity inside the case)
