Description
the projecting cornice with boldly scrolled swan-neck cresting surmounted by a carved bald-headed eagle, the frieze centred by interlaced arabesques above a pair of sixteen pane astragal glazed doors, enclosing slotted shelves, the lower part of bowfront form with crossbanded ebony lined edge and projecting spirally reeded pilasters headed by stiff leaf capitals, the beaded secretaire drawer enclosing a fitted interior of drawers and pigeon holes, above two long cockbeaded drawers with pierced brass drop handles, on turned and stiff leaf carved tapering legs
