the reeded top with three quarter gallery above a roll front enclosing a fitted interior with writing slide and three frieze drawers, above six short graduated pedestal drawers with brass drop handles, on bracket feet, the whole inlaid with ebony lines, the top drawer stamped 'T. Willson 68 Great Queen Street, London '

Footnote
Thomas Willson is entered in directories as a furniture broker and appraiser at 68 Great Queen Street between 1821-1829. He was also a cabinet maker, his firm having been established in 1818. From 1830, the business was continued by his widow Mary and his son Matthew from 1838 bearing the stamp 'M. Willson'
