with eight leaf insertions, the rounded rectangular top above a moulded and chamfered frieze, raised on turned and faceted baluster legs headed by carved flowerheads and terminating in rope twist carved 'ankles' with brass mounted cappings and ceramic castors

Provenance: Kinnettles House, by Forfar. Kinnettles is a large baronial mansion with extensive grounds, commissioned in the 19th century by a wealthy Dundee merchant. This table, and the set of chairs which follow formed part of the original furnishings.
