the hoop back with two rows of decoratively turned slender baluster spindles above outscrolling arms on turned supports and large 'saddle' seat with moulded edge, on four plain cabriole legs with pad feet

Note: this 'formal' type of Windsor chair, designed more for urban than country life, is relatively scarce. A similar example was recently sold by Messrs. Mallams of Oxford (26th May 2004)
