worked in coloured silks and cottons, with rows of graduated alphabets and text 'William Scotland, Jane Donald, Mary Wylie, Teacheres Kincardine', above spot motifs including peacocks, dogs, birds in trees and a lattice motifs bearing crowns and initials, over a triple masted sailing vessel below birds in flight, flanked by figures beneath a basket of flowers and floral motifs and a flowering jardiniere and verse 'Ebenezer Donald Capt of the Neptain', within a plain border, within a later glazed frame
