Description
A large pair of Japanese Imari bottle vases
with tall cylindrical necks, the deep blue ground painted with stylised flowerhead mon and radiating leaf scrolls, the almost spherical bodies with alternate opposed circular and quatrefoil panels, the larger quatrefoil panels painted with pine tree and the smaller with prunus blossom and exotic birds, amidst dense mon flowerheads, signed in rust on the base (minor glaze scratching to most exposed outer sides)
