A Wedgwood creamware part dinner service, bearing the Black Watch crest,
the cream ground with blue line border and central painted sword, feathered hat and tartan plaid, for the Scottish Regiment, the rim with oval painted sphinx opposing oval device with motto 'Nemo Me Impune Lacessit', impressed mark, late 18th century, comprising two circular soup plates, 24cm (one with rim chip on underside and tiny paint chips with back hanger), one meat plate, 25cm (rim chip and tiny paint chips and allover surface scratching), a large meat draining ashet , 47cm (allover scratching and glaze chips, foot with two small, three large and one very large chips) another smaller ashet, 45cm (stained surface scratching and glaze chips)
