the rectangular top with moulded edge above shallow crossbanded frieze and false fronted panelled secretaire drawer fitted with drawers and pigeonholes, three long graduated drawers below and shaped apron with splayed bracket feet

A note left by Helen Russell and dated 1965 states, "This is the Berryhill desk which belonged to Mary Duff mother of James Ritchie C.E. Perth. She was grandmother of Beatrice (Ritchie) Russell M.D. Edinburgh who gave it to Margaret (Scott Russell) Trickett"
