A large bucket bowl goblet decorated by the Beilby family of Newcastle, the white enamel Rococo scroll cartouche enclosing the dedication 'Success to the Town and Trade of LEITH' in white enamel, and with a later gilt line, the stem with two spiral opaque twists on a circular domed foot

Note: the goblet was probably made and gifted to wish success to a trade venture between Newcastle and Leith merchants. Examples of Beilby enamelling with Scottish connections are very rare.
