The Psalms of David in metre. Edinburgh: Alexander Kincaid, 1761, 12mo, contemporary Scottish wheel binding, red morocco gilt with central wheel surrounded by patterns of flowers, leaves, stars, parrots etc., spine gilt, chequered Dutch endpapers, g.e., small number in ink on title

Note: A fine example of a Scottish wheel binding, this design often being found on copies of the Psalms of David bound in black or red morocco. The design and tooling is typical of the most elaborate and decorative Scottish bookbinding work of the mid to late eighteenth century.
