Note: A fine copy of a rare work.
John Clerk (1736-1812), artist, author and parliamentarian, was one of the few eighteenth-century Scottish practitioners of etching and his landsape etchings, as well as being important documentary records, are often seen as important precursors to the etching revival of the mid nineteenth century.
