Note: Alexey Brodovitch was an American magazine art director, graphic designer, and photographer. Born in Russia he moved to Paris in the 1920s and then to New York in 1930. He was hired by Harper’s Bazaar magazine in 1934 and went on to revolutionize American magazine design.
