Sale number: 732&nbsp; Our April 2023 edition of Design Since 1860&nbsp;took place in Edinburgh and online and included an excellent selection of pieces by designers such as&nbsp;C.F.A. Voysey, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Archibald Knox, Peter Waals, Sir Charles Locke Eastlake, Edward Barnsley, William Arthur Smith Benson, E.W. Godwin, Charles Robert Ashbee, Arthur Simpson, Christopher Dresser and Jessie Marion King.&nbsp;&nbsp;Works by Mackintosh commanded attention in our sale, with a textile design by Mackintosh, dating to C. 1920, after the Mackintoshes had left Walberswick for London, achieved £32,700*. The current example shows Mackintosh's later textile designs which drew on his intimate knowledge of the natural world, producing abstracted repeat patterns. Lively bidding in the room, online and on the telephone pushed the selling rate to over 80% with designers from across Britain and the continent seeing strong results.
