Footnote
Note: This box was designed as a box for collar stiffeners. The fantastical scene on the lid depicts a Royal palace set in a landscape with an exotic bird. In the imagination of the maker the King who lived in this palace and who was interested in clothes, insisted that the tail feathers of this bird be used for his collar stiffeners.
