Provenance:
The Moss, Drumgoyne, near Killearn
Literature: Billcliffe, Roger, 'Charles Rennie Mackintosh: The Complete Furniture Drawings & Interior Designs', Moffatt 2009, p.242
Note: Mackintosh designed an extension for The Moss, near Killearn in 1907. The house is now demolished however the kitchen, also designed by Mackintosh was retained and is offered here in three lots. The kitchen follows the pattern of the service quarters he designed for Walter Blackie at Hill House (1903). The kitchens at Hill House are stained a dark brown and it is likely that the current examples were originally the same.
