Note: This wardrobe once belonged to the designer and ceramicist Clarice Cliff and stood in the bedroom of her house 'Chetwynd' in Northwood, Staffordshire. Designed by Parker and Unwin between 1899 and 1902 for C.F. Goodfellow the house was bought and renamed in 1926 by Coney Shorter who first lived there with his first wife before his marriage to Clarice Cliff in 1940. Clarice Cliff remained at 'Chetwynd' until her death in 1972.
