Description
by William Birch & Co, High Wycombe, designed by E G Punnett, the arched back inset with walnut and ebony Art Nouveau stem motif and two rush pads, the broad open arms above a rush seat above shaped apron, the whole raised on stave supports linked by stretchers

E G Punnett moved to William Birch from J S Henry in 1901. Birch made furniture to Punnett's designs for Liberty & Co, and his name appears on several sketched sheets dated March - November 1901.
