designed for Artek, Helsinki circa 1936, the rectangular galleried top with black tiled panel, above a wicker basket with continuous bentwood support, the painted wheels with rubber rims

Note; Aalto produced two designs for similar trolleys. The first, without the wicker basket, was designed in 1936, and first exhibited at the Milan Triennial of that year. The second, as in the present lot, was first exhibited the next year at the Paris World Fair.
