Provenance
The current vendor's late partner's grandfather was Richard Beresford-Wright, industrialist and owner of Michelam Priory, East Sussex. The artist Claude Flight was a family friend and brought his partner, the printmaker Edith Lawrence on a Mediterranean cruise with the family in the 1930's. On this basis, the offered print may have been a gift from the artist.
