Note: Herodias was a Jewish princess of the Herodian Dynasty and queen of Galilee, best known for her portrayal in the New Testament as the wife of Herod Antipas who conspired in the death of John the Baptist. She was the mother of Salome.
Lindsay Kemp (1938-2018) was a British dancer, choreographer, actor and mime. He was an important mentor to David Bowie and Kate Bush. Kemp staged an experimental version of Oscar Wilde's play 'Salome' at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh in 1973.
