Note: Murdoch, a graduate of the Slade and Royal Academy Schools, was the first ever recipient of the Threadneedle Prize in 2008. She has been represented by the prestigious Marlborough Gallery for some time, and in 2019 was awarded the ING Discerning Eye Prize. Her work is painstaking and meticulous, involving up to a hundred layers of paint in one painting. She therefore can produce only around 8-10 paintings a year.
