Note: Original one-off gelatin silver print by Ian Hamilton Finlay, photographer David Paterson, circa 1975-76, plates later reduced and printed as pages in the 'A Boy's Alphabet Book' published 1976. The models for the boats illustrated were made at Little Sparta in Finlay's workshop and are part of a larger number of similar models made for the same purpose.
