Note: This work was prompted by the entrance to a museum in Istanbul, where a classical sculpture of a female nude seemed to Philip to be in unusual contrast to the more expected clothing of women that is the cultural norm in Turkey. His nude, not much more than a half-hidden contour, might also be read as a vase or amphora.
