Note: Staffin and Staffin island are on the far north east coast of Skye, about 18 miles north of Portree. The road through Staffin hugs the coast, and while driving there Reeves stopped to record the landscape in a series of drawings. This finished work, made in his studio, emphasises the verticality of cliff and rock-face in this part of Skye.
