Note: Very rare. Murray produced another rare book of letterpress and lithographs under the title Scenery of the Highlands and islands of Scotland, lithographed by S. Leith, Banff, from drawings in outline, by Lieut. Colonel W. Murray, Younger of Ochtertyre, which was published, undated, in Perth by Morison, Junr. & Co. This work had 82 pages of text and 26 leaves of plates, unlike the present work which has 42 leaves of plates and no text except for title and Contents leaf. Only one copy of this work is recorded in the U.K. (N.L.S.). Another work with a similar title Sketches of scenes in Scotland, drawn in outline by Lieut. Col. Murray, with historical and descriptive illustrations by D.M. was published in Perth, undated, but with the date of 1834 ascribed to it by the NLS.
