Note: Jemima Blackburn, nee Wedderburn, was one of the most eminent illustrators of the Victorian Age. She married Hugh Blackburn in 1849 and in 1855 they built Roshven House on the south shore of Loch Ailort on the west coast of Scotland. It was here, by the mountains of Moidart, that Jemima Blackburn produced some of her most famous works on Scottish orinithology and flora.
