An album of 24 albumen prints of Greenock, c. 1870 -80s, to include a rear view of the Old Mansion House of the Shaws, Drummess Close, Corner of Broad Close and Shaw Street [Broad Close school now occupies this site], Corner of William Street and Dalrymple Street, Taylors Close [west side now the site of the new Post Office], Bell Entry and the old "Rose and Thistle" tavern, Old bottle works pulled down in 1881, East Quay Lane looking from Cathcart Street [prior to the west side being pulled down by the Town Improvement Trust in 1881], Old Anchor Inn on Shaw Street, Longwill Close, Old buildings forming the south east angle of Taylors Close and Dalrymple Street [now occupied by new Municipal buildings, Old buildings on the north side of Dalrymple Street and the corner of Low Vennel [cleared by the Improvement Trust in 1880], 3 prints by James Valentine, circa 1870's, [captioned and initialled in negative] of the Custom House Quay, Greenock and Burns Monument, contemporary cloth gilt, some fading to edges of prints
