First edition, folio, engraved portrait of Sir George Carew, engraved portrait of Queen Elizabeth, 1810 facsimile Speed map of Munster inserted in place of the original, and 16 engraved maps and plates, most folding, near contemporary calf, short marginal tear to title, plate 2 strengthened at fold and with short tear, plate at p.188 repaired with very slight loss, plate at p.292 torn without loss, plate at p.382 with slight loss of margin, a few leaves slightly dampstained in margin at end, portrait of Carew cropped at head, head and base of spine and corners worn, later endpapers
