Description
Two illustrations for Ali Baba, "The Robber's Cave", pencil, ink and watercolour, 25.5 by 40cm.; "Pirates", pencil, ink and watercolour, 25.5 by 40cm.; both signed by initials in lower right corner, mounted, some browning, faded, minor wear to surface of second illustration (2)
Footnote
Note: Ali Baba and Aladdin was published by Harrap in 1918. The first illustration is reproduced facing page 28 where it is entitled "The Captain told them the Reason of their Returning". The second illustration does not appear in the published volume although a decorative head-piece in ink to the listing of illustrations is highly reminiscent.

Illustrated books include Ali Baba and Aladdin, Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp, Arthur and His Knights, and The Crock of Gold. As an etcher and engraved he contributed to the Sketch and other journals.
