Provenance: Bookplate of Tarradale House, 1960. Tarradale House is situated in Ross-shire, Scotland. Home to the Murchison family from the late 18th century onwards, it was later passed onto the Murchison of Tarradale Trust, and subsequently the University of Aberdeen, as a place of study for Highland scholars. The house passed into private ownership again in the late 20th century.
