Three autograph letters signed, two to Mrs Rutherford, dated Aug. 14 [?1892], and Aug. 4 [?1890], and one to an unamed recipient, July 8 [?1892] "Dying is generally such a long process that I should prefer it not being delayed"; Spencer, Herbert Two autograph letters addressed to "Mr Darwin" [? Francis Darwin], 6 April 1886, 2 pages, asking for copies of Spencer's letters to Charles Darwin "supposing they have been kept", and one page, 21 May 1883, enclosing a copy [not present] of a letter from Charles Darwin which may be of interest "since it contains some views of his which may perhaps not have been elsewhere expressed"; Autograph postcard to Mrs Rutherford "Would it be troubling you too much to ask you to put aside those books in Mr F.
