Veteres Arcus augustorum triumphis insignes ex reliquiis quae Romae adhuc supersunt .... illustrati ... 1st edition, engraved dedicatory port. plate as frontis., 48 engraved plates numbered 3 to 15 and 20-52, of which 24 are double page, later half calf, marbled boards, rubbed, covers detached, titlepage with some spotting, light water staining of outer margins, many of the plates captioned in an 18th century hand, folio, Rome: [ex typ. Io. Francisci de Buagnis], 1690
Note: Cicognara 3608 (giving the number of plates erroneusly as 52); Berlin Catalogue 1864 (with 46 plates: in reality there are 48 as plates 6 & 7 are effectively doubles). As Cicognara points out, these splendid plates, by Pietro Santi Bartoli, Bellori's collaborator, was the finest of such works to be published at that time and is important, because it records the state of the monuments at that period many of which have since deteriorated
