A defence of the Scots settlement at Darien with an answer to the Spanish memorial against it ... to which is added, a description of the country and a particular account of the Scots colony ... 1st edition, pp. [viii], 86, 8vo., Edinburgh: [n.p.], 1699 Note: Aldis 3840; Wing F 1292. The preface is signed "Philo-Caledon". Mackenzie Andrew Fletcher (1935) pp. 314 notes that while this tract is also attributed to Archibald Foyer and others, it seems more likely that the author was Lord Belhaven, a director of the Company in Scotland although he might have had Fletcher's assistance in the drafting.
