including autograph letters signed by: Sir William Robert Wills Wilde (1815-1876), ophthalmologist and father of Oscar Wilde (2 pp., mentioning an edition of an essay on Swift); Frederick Courteney Selous (1851-1917), big-game hunter (2 letters, each 2 pp., on social engagements); Pearl Craigie (1867-1906), novelist, best known under her pseudonym John Hobbes (2 letters, each 1 p., one mentioning the death of Lady Curzon);
together with approx. 25 further autograph letters signed by figures including: Field Marshal Lord Roberts, John Parnell, Lord Congleton (peer, missionary and noted member of the Plymouth Brethren, 3 letters), William O'Brien (1852-1928), Irish nationalist politician (dated 1886, on House of Commons stationery), John Deasy (1856-1896), Irish nationalist politician, Arthur Young (1863-1948), Scots-American accountant and founder of Ernst & Young;
