Second edition ('revue, corrigée, et considérablement augmentée), 2 volumes, 12mo (16.6 x 9.2cm), contemporary sheep, rebacked, recornered and relined probably in the 19th century, edges dyed red, xxiv [8] 494, [12] 425 [17] pp., half-titles, engraved portrait frontispiece, 42 engraved plates, covers rubbed, renewed spines non-uniform, volume 1 with very small worm-track to corner of title-page, volume 2 with half-title detached and small strip of adhesive staining to gutter of half-title and title-page [cf.
