Bull after author (with tissue guards), wood-engraved title vignettes and 8 illustrations in text, spines and board edges worn, light spotting to frontispiece of volume 1 and to endpapers of both volumes;

First edition, 2 volumes, 4to, contemporary green half calf with maroon moiré cloth boards, spines gilt with black labels, 60 full page engraved plates interleaved with paper, followed by descriptive text, rubbing to outer joints and extremities, corners bumped, volume 2 boards sunned in places, most of the plates with foxing to various degrees, light dampstaining to the inner margins of volume 1;
