First edition, 4to (20.4 x 23cm), 20th-century brown buckram, with frontispiece, half-title, and 105 engraved plates, ex-library copy with book due slip on rear pastedown, frontispiece mounted on card, repairs to title-page, some dampstaining to frontispiece and title-page, occasional spotting throughout;
[Halhed, Nathaniel Brassey, translator and editor]. A Code of Gentoo Laws, or, Ordinations of the Pundits, from a Persian Translation, Made from the Original, Written in the Shanscrit Language. First edition, 4to (28.5 x 22cm), 20th-century dark-red library buckram, 8 engraved plates, pp. 10-26 with scorch marks to bottom margin (text unaffected) and repairs to pp. 19-22, occasional spotting [ESTC T112179];
