First London edition (first published in Lahore earlier the same year), 8vo, xx 254 pp., original pebble-grain dark orange cloth, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, covers stamped in blind, half-title, lithographic folding map, 2 publisher's catalogues to rear (2 and 16 pp.), binder's ticket to rear pastedown, front inner hinge cracked and tender, worming to front inner hinge and to gutter of prelims and text up to pp. 5/6, folding map unevenly toned and with trace of effaced ink-stamp to verso, similar traces of effaced markings to verso of title-page, rear inner hinge partly cracked
