Fairbairn, Thomas. Relics of Ancient Architecture and other picturesque scenes in Glasgow. Glasgow: David Bryce and Son, 1885. Re-issue of 1849 edition, folio, original red buckram gilt and leather spine, decorated endpapers, one of a limited edition of 300 copies, 30 photogravure plates by Annan, binding worn corner tips rubbed and tail of spine missing, with foxing to title page and tissue guards to the plates, and minor spotting elsewhere, 20th-century bookplates on front pastedown;

First edition, large 4to, full vellum decorative publisher's binding incorporating the Glasgow coat of arms and Glasgow City Chambers, profusely illustrated with portraits from half-tone blocks, boards and spine worn and soiled, inner hinges strengthened with linen, apparently as issued;
