Kingston: Alexander Aikman, [1785 or 1786]. 8vo in fours, calendar interleaved with blanks, contemporary calf with pocket at rear, flyleaf torn [not recorded on the ESTC. The ESTC features no.N49132 which is for the following year, 1787, only]

An exceptionally rare Jamaican almanac. WorldCat shows only one traceable copy of a ‘Royal Almanack and Register for the Island of Jamaica’ at the John Carter Brown Library, Rhode Island, however this is for the year 1787. The copy presented for sale here is for 1786 and differs in collation. It has not been possible to find another recorded copy of this 1786 publication anywhere.
