Comprising 17 lines on vellum, dated 30th May 1432: “James, by the grace of God, king . . . to our beloved and faithful John de Roos, son and heir of the late Hugh de Roos, the whole and entire barony of Kilravok, namely the two vills of Kilravok, and the villein of Estirgeddes”, 38 x 16.5cm, a remarkably clear copy of the Great Seal [Rose, Shaw & Innes p.129]

The previous charters having been destroyed in Elgin Cathedral in 1390, this document narrates this destruction and presents the new “infiefment” of the Baron [p.129].
