Footnote
Czech-born photographer Karel Egermeier relocated to France during the inter-war years. He spent his Sundays as a Scout leader, engaging in his passion for the outdoors and photography. In the mid-1930s, he set up his photographic studio at 25 bis Rue de Constantine, Paris, signing many of his photographs as ‘Aiglon’. His most popular photographs capture the joy of youth and exploration he encountered during his years with the Scouts.
