of which 25 signed in the negative by Bonfils, 5 by Beato, 4 by Langahi, all approx. 27 x 20cm or similar, mounted on card (some mounts with one photograph either side), subjects including townscapes and street scenes in Nazareth, Bethany, Tiberias, Jaffa, Nablus, Balbek, Jerusalem, Cairo, Alexandria, Port Said, and Ancient Egyptian temples and wall carvings (probably at Luxor). Together with: 3 albumen-print photographs of Sri Lanka, depicting a carriage and attendants, a young woman and her children, and a wharf at Colombo, all c.1875-1900, approx. 27 x 21cm, with blind stamps of Apothecaries Co Ltd, Colombo, on recent mounts; and 2 albumen-print photographs of India by Bourne, c.1875-1900, approx. 29 x 23cm, on old mounts with early manuscript captions, ‘Tomb of Shum-ood-dee Altomsh [sic] builder of the Kutub Delhi’, and ‘Ruins of the Fort of Toghlukabad, distant view, including the Mausoleum, Delhi’, signed by Bourne with his catalogue numbers (1379 and 1383) in the negative (a folder)
