Four ink wash illustrations: Prodigal Son No.340 Plate 1, showing a family scene with the son leaving, a replacement image of a dog pasted onto the original; Prodigal Son No.340 Plate 2, showing the son drinking and fraternizing with women; Prodigal Son No.340 Plate 3, showing the son as destitute and sleeping under a tree surrounded by pigs; Prodigal Son No.340 Plate 4, showing the son's return to his father; each c. 32 x 24cm with the aforementioned titles and “I. Cruikshank's Delit. …” to the reverse of each image; possibly by, or after, Isaac Cruikshank, each laid down by one edge onto paper;
with a selection of engraved and printed plates from George Cruikshank's “The Drunkard's Children”
