Second (first Edinburgh) edition with 'Boxburgh' for 'Roxburgh' on p.xxxvii and 'stinking' for 'skinking' on p.263, 8vo, frontispiece portrait, in original publisher's boards (spine possibly renewed) and contained in a custom clamshell slipcase, neat ownership signature of John Buchanan and label of Alfred B. Perlman to front paste-down, along with two neat notes to title-page: “H. Smith from Dennis” and “Pos.Rock”, inner hinges sensitively repaired
